FC Nordsjaelland Sports director, Mikkel Hemmersam has expressed his excitement following the transfer of Ghana's Isaac Atanga to MLS side, FC Cincinnati.
Atanga penned a three-year contract with the club, with an additional two option years after successful negotiations.
The 20-year-old has made 19 appearances, including 10 starts, scoring five goals across all competitions in the current Danish Superliga season.
"Isaac is a really well-liked and hard-working young man, who to that extent has worked his way up to the opportunity he now gets. It is a shift that he has both deserved and desires, and therefore we will not stand in the way of him taking this step," Hemmersam told the club's official website.
"MLS is a league in great progress, where several of Isaac's friends with a background at Right to Dream are already playing.
He added, "We are delighted that another of our academy players has taken a step towards the dream, and we would like to thank Isaac for the great effort and the good example he has given and set in FC Nordsjælland ever since he joined the U19 team and today."
"We wish him all the best in the US and we hope our paths can be crossed again one day in the future."
