Ghanaian international Elvis Manu has been nominated for the Europa League Player of the Week following his impressive display for Ludogorets defeat to LASK Linz on Thursday night.
Manu bagged a hattrick Ludogorets but it was not enough as they lost 4-3 in their match day two encounter at the on-going Europa League.
The Dutch-born striker scored with a fine effort in the 15th minute after he was assisted by Alex Santana. Later in the second half, Elvis Manu found the back of the net in the 62nd and 74th minutes to complete his hat-trick.
Unfortunately, LASK Linz scored four goals courtesy strikes from Petar Filipovic, Andreas Gruber, Marko Raguz, and Husein Balic to ensure the hat-trick from Elvis Manu didn’t matter at the end of the 90 minutes
He was nominated alongside PSV forward Donyell Malen, Red Star Belgrade's Ben Nabouhane and Michael Liendl of Wolfsburg for the accolade.
