Asamoah Gyan’s business manager, Samuel Anim Addo has responded to claims that the former Sunderland forward demanded to be given $400,000 as signing-on fee before putting pen to paper in the ongoing transfer window.
Gyan is currently a free agent after leaving Indian Super League side NorthEast United FC in January.
The all-time top scorer for Ghana has been linked with a transfer to boyhood club Asante Kotoko ahead of the 2020/21 season.
Report went rife that, the former Udinese Calcio striker proposed move to Kotoko have hit a snag due to his colossal transfer demand.
Despite denying such report, he believes his client is ten times valuable than the amount quoted.
Speaking to Angel FM in Accra, he said, “Off the pitch, what is the value of Gyan before he plays for the club. I believe Gyan has a lot of impact in Kumasi and so if he should join the club it will improve their brand and marketing as well”
“So anyone who did such agenda is wrong because the man is ten times valuable than that figure so rather what is the best way to get him. There are so many avenues you can get him for him to also make revenue for the club. You Look at his image and the brand Asamoah Gyan for the club. So whoever set that agenda has set a bad one indeed” he said.
