Ghana international forward Emmanuel Gyasi has revealed how Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo influenced his career and has therefore entreated up and coming footballers to watch him.
Gyasi, who ply his trade for Italian outfit Spezia Calcio made his dream debut for the Black Stars against South Africa at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg last week during the 2021 AFCON qualifiers.
Narrating his unforgettable moment with the five time Ballon d’Or winner, he said, “The player who really influenced me growing up is Cristiano Ronaldo. Every player growing up must watch him. His ambition to break records, win, mentality and everything”
“I had the privilege to talk to him, have his jersey and it was like I was leaving in a dream”
“Cristiano Ronaldo remembered me and he gave me his shirt at the end of the first half. It’s a real honour for me since he is my football idol” he added.
