English-born defender of Ghanaian descent, Tariq Lamptey has been ruled out of the Brighton & Hove Albion match against Arsenal as a result of an injury he is carrying.
The skilled speedster has missed his team's last few matches in the English Premier League as a result of a hamstring injury he suffered earlier this month.
Although the team expected him to make full recovery before the year ended, the process as reported by Brighton manager Graham Potter has been slow.
Hence, he is still not fully fit and will miss the next couple of games of the team.
“Tariq is progressing but probably a little bit slower than we thought so he won’t be available for Arsenal and at this stage is very doubtful for Wolves,” Graham Potter said in a pre-match interview to the Arsenal game.
The encounter between Brighton and Hove Albion has been scheduled to be played on Tuesday, December 29, and will kick-off at 18:00GMT.
Meanwhile, midfielder Adam Lallana is also expected to miss the game against Arsenal.
