Thomas Partey could be reunited with Diego Costa in January with reports suggesting that Arsenal is plotting a swoop for the Spanish striker.
Diego Costa, 32, on Tuesday, terminated his contract with Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid on a mutual basis.
The striker had a contract with the club until next summer but decided to leave early on the back of what has been a difficult stint at the club since his return from Chelsea in 2018.
Latest reports from Spanish outlet AS has indicated that Arsenal has been monitoring the Diego Costa situation for a while and are considering his signing to bolster their squad.
If a deal is reached in the January transfer window, the striker will be reunited with former Atletico Madrid teammate Thomas Partey.
The Ghana midfielder joined the English Premier League side in the summer and has so far managed to impress.
Thomas Partey, 27, recently recovered from an injury and will be getting back to the field next weekend.
