The head coach for the Ghana U-20 team, Coach CK Akonnor has stressed that he is bent on qualifying the team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament.
The former Black Stars international was appointed the coach for the team in January 2020 as he replaced Coach James Kwesi Appiah.
Speaking to Kessben FM in an interview, Coach CK Akonnor has revealed that his ambition is to get the Ghana male senior national team to the next FIFA World Cup.
“My aim and aspiration is to help Ghana qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup which would be staged in Qatar,” the gaffer said.
Coach Akonnor continued, “I want to qualify for nation for the next FIFA World Cup competition but that is not all as I would like and want my team to do well and make the country proud and everyone happy.”
Meanwhile, coach Akonnor has this month been paid two months of his unpaid salary since taking over as Black Stars head coach.
