Aston Villa U-23 head coach, George Boateng has made donation to the Greater Accra-based Orphanage home as part of activities to mark the festive season.
Boateng donated items such as bags of rice, cooking oil, assorted drinks, biscuits, toiletries and undisclosed amount of money which was given to the Orphanage home.
"I spoke to the children about education, how I was when I was young, a little bit of introduction about what I had to go through to become a footballer, and the main priority was education," Boateng said as quoted by Kickgh.com.
"I think they got the message quite well and when you see how happy they are, even the singing and dancing, for them to be involved, it’s quite humbling."
Proprietress of the Teshie Children's Home, Mrs. Janet Anyeley Parker and other members received the items on behalf of their outfit and thanked the Aston Villa trainer for putting back smiles on the faces of the kids in the festive season.
Boateng was appointed to handle the Aston Villa U23 in September.
