Deputy Captain of Asante Kotoko Emmanuel Gyamfi says he is happy with his side output against Medeama SC in their outstanding fixture on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors held the Yellow and Mauves to a 1-1 draw at the Akoon Park.
Kwame Poku opened the scoring for Kotoko before substitute Abass Mohammed restored parity from the spot
Gyamfi despite expressing disappointment to share spoils indicated that they are determined to kick on after Asante Kotoko’s improved display.
Speaking after the game, he said, “We were disappointed to come away with only a point after taking the lead,” Gyamfi said in a post-match press conference.
“What disappointed me the most was that there was an earlier handball before the ball touched our player [Habib Mohammed], but the referee ignored theirs and gave a penalty for ours”
“The positive is that we possessed and passed the ball very well, and we will train harder to improve in those areas and also score more”
