Ghanaian international, Patrick Joosten scored for his FC Groningen side on Saturday night to inspire the side to a 2-1 win against VVV Venlo in the Dutch Eredivisie.
The Dutch-born attacker joined the club this summer as he ended his stay with Sparta Rotterdam.
In a matchday 7 encounter of the 2020/2021 football season, Patrick Joosten earned a starting role to help FC Groningen fight for the 3 points in the game against VVV Venlo yesterday.
On the Matchday, he dazzled with his impressive performances and scored in the 26th minute to shoot his team into the lead.
That equalizer handed his team the momentum as they went on to double their lead in added time of the first half.
This time around, it was Jorgen Strand Larsen who found the back of the net for the home team.
Although VVV Venlo will grab a consolation in the second half, Patrick Joosten and his teammates cruised to a 2-1 win at the end of the 90 minutes.
