Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Boateng was in action for Hapoel Tel Aviv in their 1-0 defeat to Bnei Yehuda on Saturday in the Israeli top-flight league.
Boateng made a return to the team after his mandatory quarantine, having returned to Ghana to attend to personal matters which was allowed by his club.
However, as per regulations in Israel, the 23-year-old had to go into self-isolation in a bid to test negative before playing for his side.
The Ghanaian youngster climbed off the bench in the 55th minute to replace Osher Davida.
After a goalless first-half, the host took the lead through Mohammad Ghadir in the 75th minute.
The visitors pushed for the equaliser but to no avail as the home side held on to seal all three points at the Bloomfield Stadium.
