Asamoah Gyan hopes Medeama draw will be turnaround point for Legon Cities

Legon Cities striker Asamoah Gyan has expressed satisfaction with the performance of his side during their 0-0 stalemate at the Accra Sports Stadium last Friday.

The moneybags were held at their own backyard by the Yellow and Mauve in matchday three of the Ghana Premier League.

Gyan, who made his debut after 17 year absence in the GPL says he is impressed with the performance of his teammates and is hoping to turn things around after draw against Medeama.

“I am very positive about the next game. I think the willingness was there and that was what we wanted to do. The past two games, there wasn’t any positive thing, we were just running and not creating any chance. I was a bit worried, we had to do couple of meetings and had to change tactic”

He continued that, “I was encouraging them mentally but tactically the coach had to do his thing. So that was what we saw today. The boys have done a great job, honestly I am satisfied personally with the performance because we were able to create couple of chances and that is the most important thing”

“If we are able to be more focus on the field I think it will be good. We have a lot of quality players in the country. I have seen  of good players although I don’t know their names but I have seen a lot of good players and if they are more focus tactically and they are more discipline outside the field I think they can go far” he said.
