Ghana and Swansea City forward Andre Ayew has heaped praise on struggling Olympique of Marseille manager André Villas-Boas despite criticism levelled against him.
Some believe that the game proposed by the Portuguese gaffer no longer attract fans.
However, Ayew does not agree at all with those who criticise AndrĂ© Villas-Boas as he thinks the former Chelsea manager can’t do better.
"I closely follow OM. I still have many friends who are at the club. I think we have to be logical and not lie to each other. This is a good team that did a good last season," Ayew said as quoted by en.africatopsports.com.
"This year, they still lost players like Bouna Sarr. This year, it’s the Champions League. It’s been a while since the club was there. There are good players. But for this competition, we need more."
He added, When I see the means that have been given to AVB, I think that he does a wonderful job and he should continue to work, to believe in it."
Olympique Marseille lost heavily to Man City in the UEFA Champions League last Tuesday and will look to bounce back to winning they face Porto next Tuesday.
