Asante Kotoko new boy, Razak Abalora, stated that the team's interest was concrete as compared to other clubs so he accepted their offer.
Earlier in 2020, Abalora terminated his contract with Tanzanian giants, Azam FC. He was called into CK Akonnor's side for the friendly matches against Mali and Qatar. The goalkeeper did not feature against Mali but was given a starting berth in the 5-1 win over Qatar.
In his interview with Kotoko Express, he revealed why he accepted Kotoko's offer.
"You know Kotoko is one of the biggest teams in Africa so when the call comes, there are no doubts. You just have to accept the call and go for it. I received a call from my agent [about Kotoko]."
"It took me long to decide because I was also having some foreign moves there so it took some thinking. The moves from outside were not concrete. Kotoko's interest was concrete so I accepted that one."
