The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association is set to name a new Technical Director today, according to Citi Sports.
The technical directorship role has been vacant since the exit of Francis Oti Akenteng in March.
Following his exit, FIFA required the FA to fill that vacuum immediately, which led to the composition of a Selection Committee, headed by president Kurt Okraku, to search for Mr Akenten's replacement.
"We are in the home stretch, and are very clear as to who the person is," GFA President, Kurt Okraku told Citi Sports
"We identified the lack of appropriate personnel, for which reason we immediately set the process in motion.
"I’m sure that soon Ghana will get to know the person and the composition of the directorate."
The process started over three months ago with over a hundred applications being shortlisted to six by a committee setup by the FA after a host of local and foreign coaches applied for the job.
