Ghanaian teenager Francis Abu has expressed his readiness to work hard to earn more playing time at FC Nordsjaelland.
The exciting talent had a good campaign in the Danish Superliga during the 2019/2020 football season.
This season, he was expected to get a bigger role but he has so far just played 48 minutes for his club in the Superliga after 6 match days.
Speaking in an interview after his goal for FC Nordsjaelland saved the side from defeat at the hands of AC Horsens last Sunday, Francis Abu says he wants to keep going.
According to the 19-year old, he will continue to fight to earn more minutes at his club.
“Of course I'm sorry not to start. It's not because of the coaches, but more myself. Because in the end, I know that if I do a good job, then I get the opportunity to play, says yesterday's goal scorer”, the forward said as quoted on the website of his club.
Francis Abu continued, “It has been in and out the last couple of games, but I continue. I'm fighting for my chance. When you go through a tough period where you are not playing, then you have to stay focused.
“I just have to work hard, so when the opportunity arises, I am ready to seize it”.
