According to transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, Atletico Madrid are still convinced that Thomas Partey will stay at the club despite heavy links to Arsenal.
The Gunners have until 5th October to conclude any deal for Partey. They have been asked by Atletico to pay his full 50 million euro release clause upfront.
Reports have indicated that the player has agreed personal terms with the club but will stay in Spain if the move is not completed.
Atletico Madrid are close to a loan deal for Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira but are confident that it will not affect the status of Partey.
