French Ligue 2 side Sochaux have expressed interest in signing Ghanaian forward Jonah Osabutey on loan from Bundesliga outfit, Werder Bremen in the on-going summer transfer window, according to Graphic Sports Online.
The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at Belgian Jupiler League side Royal Mouscron where he scored five goals and registered four assists in 22 matches and won the Player of the Year award.
He is on the radar of several clubs in Europe following his impressive performances last term with Sochaux keen on securing his services this summer.
The report further stated that talks have already started between French side Sochaux and Werder Bremen on the Ghanaian and the former made a bid of 200,000 Euros on Thursday to take him on loan for one season.
Sochaux are currently looking for a striker following a long-term injury to Yann Litala and their manager, Omar Daf, is keen on signing the highly-rated youngster to fill the void.
Osabutey joined Bremen in January 2017 from Ghanaian side Tema Youth and he featured for the club's under-19 side before being promoted to the second team in 2019 following which he was loaned out to Mouscron.
