Ghanaian youngster Richard Nartey is undergoing a two-week trial at fellow English Premier League side Burnley, according to Graphic Sports Online.
The 22-year-old is without a club after paring ways with Chelsea this summer after being deemed surplus to requirement.
The report further stated that Nartey is currently on a 14-day trial with the Clarets and featured in their under-23 side against Newcastle on September 25.
Burnley are said to be very impressed with the player's performance so far and could hand him a three-year deal even before the trial period ends.
The Ghanaian international spent last season on loan at League One side Burton Albion, making 25 league appearances in the third tier of the English football league system.
West Bromich Albion and Sheffield United are also reportedly interested in signing the youngster.
Born in London to a Ghanaian father and an English mother, Nartey who can also operate as a centre-back. He is yet to feature for England or Ghana at any level.
