French Ligue 2 side Sochaux have expressed interest in signing Jonah Osabutey on loan from Bundesliga outfit, Werder Bremen.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian striker last season featured the entire season on loan at Belgian Jupiler League side Royal Mouscron where he won the Player of the Year award.
However, Osabutey returned to his parent club at the end of the season.
Talks have already started between French side Sochaux and Werder Bremen on the Ghanaian and the former made a bid of 200,000 Euros on Thursday to take him on loan for one season.
Sochaux are currently looking for a striker following a long-term injury to Yann Litala and their manager, Omar Daf, is keen on signing Osabutey to fill the void.
Osabutey joined Bremen in January 2017 from Tema Youth and he featured for the club's under-19 side before being promoted to the second team in 2019 following which he was loaned out to Mouscron.
