The leadership in the Ghana Football Association are anxious about the CAS ruling concerning Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer on Tuesday, according to multiple reports.
The Executive Council are eagerly awaiting the decision made by CAS as it will have a huge impact on Ghana football for years to come.
The verdict was expected to be known on July 17 which was on a Friday. However, it was postponed to August 4 and has been postponed again to September 1.
In this current situation, two options have come up. The first is that CAS will rule in favor of the GFA and no elections will be called. The second one has a different consequence. If GFA rules in favor of Wilfred Palmer, a re-election could be called.
Palmer made a case against the FA to CAS after he was disqualified from the race to become the GFA President before elections were held. The disqualification was done by the Normalization Committee at the time.
The tenure of Kurt Okraku could be over if the judgement goes in favor of Palmer.
