Former Hearts of Oak striker, Gilbert Fiamenyo has revealed that he left the Phobians due to monetary issues.
Fiamenyo joined the Accra based club from Heart of Lions with a big money move but failed to live up to expectations.
The Bulky forward spent three seasons with the Rainbow club between 2012 and 2015, before leaving for Kenya to join AC Leopards
In an interview with Max FM, Fiamenyo downplayed assertions that he left the club due to his poor run of form.
According to him, his exit from the club was as a result of monetary issue but not his performance.
“I left because of monetary issues, I sat with the board and we tried to negotiate but it did not go as planned so I had to leave the club, I would have loved to stay but we couldn’t negotiate” he said.
The 28-year old has also played for Ebusua Dwarfs, AFC Leopard in Kenya and Libyan club Al-Nasr Benghazi.
