Ghanaian right-back Bright Gyamfi has sealed promotion to Serie A Benevento with seven games to spare and matching a Serie B record on Monday.
Gyamfi was an unused substitute as Benevento defeated Juve Stabia 1-0 courtesy of a second-half goal from Marco Sau - despite playing most of the game with 10 men.
Marco Sau scored in the 71st minute to secure all three points for the home side as Benevento moved 24 points ahead of Crotone and Cittadella.
Gyamfi, who joined the club from Inter Milan in 2017 has made only two appearances in all competitions so far this season.
His compatriot Bright Addae featured for Juve Stabia as he climbed off the bench in the 68th-minute.
Benevento finished last in its only previous Serie A campaign in 2017-18, having become the first team ever to win promotion in its Serie B debut season.
