Qadsia defender Rashid Sumaila is confident of a Black Stars call-up under coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor.
The 27-year-old was part of the Black Stars team at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Sumaila, who has made 10 appearances for the senior national team is hopeful that every player has a chance to feature under the new coach, CK Akonnor.
"We now have a new Black Stars coach who is our former national team captain, Charles Akonnor, and I wish him well," he told Daily Graphic.
"Definitely, I know under him every player has an equal chance of getting into the team," he added.
Sumaila has been one of the most important players for Kuwaiti giants Qadsia in the last few years since joining them from South Africa side Mamelodi Sundowns in 2015.
Following his impressive display this term, the former Asante Kotoko defender has been linked with a move to several clubs in Europe.
He has previously played for clubs like South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns, Al Gharafa of Qatar, and Red Star Belgrade.
