AC Kajaani midfielder Derrick Mensah has urged parents to protect their children against fake agents.
The 25 year old believes that bad agents contributed massively to the spoiled careers of young footballers.
"Our parents must be up and doing in terms of guarding their wards against agents," he told Ahomka FM.
"I know most of our parents are scared when an agent approaches them to take their children abroad for their football career. But our parents must not fall for it and allow their wards leave. They must ask questions so that when a problem comes, they can hold people responsible."
He added: "In Finland and other countries, you can't just pick anybody's son and travel with him to play football so easily. Our parents must check all these things because it helps young footballers."
The defensive midfielder made his first move abroad in 2013. He made the trip from Tema Youth to Club Africain. He has played for nine clubs so far.
