Ex-Leeds United striker Tony Yeboah has expressed his disappointment after failing to represent Ghana at the FIFA World Cup.
The 53-year-old, who retired in 2002 still hurts about not playing at the World Cup which he claims was down to “petty mistakes” by everyone involved including the players.
Yeboah was capped 59 times by the Black Stars, scoring 29 goals in the process.
"Now I take everything cool. Now I know I have to enjoy my life. I have some companies, hotels working for me and I make sure I take good care of my family," he told GTV Sports Plus.
He was a member of the Black Stars team for over ten years and represented them at three Africa Cup of Nations during the 1990s.
Yeboah played for FC Saarbrücken, Eintracht Frankfurt, Leeds United and Hamburger SV during the 1990s. He also featured for Asante Kotoko, Cornerstones Kumasi, Okwawu United and Al-Ittihad Doha.
