Ex-Leed United star Tony Yeboah has called on Ghanaians to rally their support behind Charles Kwablan Akonnor to succeed as Black Stars coach.
CK Akonnor replaced his former boss Kwesi Appiah as coach of the senior national team in January on a two-year deal.
The 46-year-old has been tasked to win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations as well as qualify the team to the 2022 FIFA World Cup to held in Qatar.
"I call CK 'Slim Mancho'. He is tough and needs everyone's support to be successful," he told GTV Sports Plus.
Coach Akonnor made 41 appearances and scored 12 goals for Black Stars before starting his coaching career at Sekondi Eleven Wise.
He has previously managed Dreams FC, Hearts of Oak, Ashanti Gold SC, and Asante Kotoko.
