Ghana defender Nicholas Opoku to return to Udinese after Ligue 1 cancellation

Ghana defender Nicholas Opoku will return to parent club Udinese following the cancellation of the French Ligue 1 season.

Opoku who joined the Ligue 1 outfit Amiens SC on loan in the January transfer window is unlikely to stay with the club.

It is believed that Amiens paid €500,000 for the loan deal and would have to pay a sum of around €5 million to exercise the buy option.

The deal would only be fully completed if the Unicorns retain their French Ligue status at the end of the season.

But according reports in the French media, Amiens will be relegated following the cancellation of the season.

However, with the inability of Amiens to maintain Ligue 1 status, the former Brekum Chelsea towering guardsman will return to Udinese.
