Former Western Region FA Chairman, Kojo Yankah has recommended to the Ghana Football Association to consider settling their debts from the FIFA Convid-19 stimulus package yet to hit the account of the association.
The Ghana FA is set to receive $500,000 as stimulus package from the world governing body due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The amount represents the operational funding for member associations for the years 2019 and 2020.
In all, FIFA will distribute $150 million among its 211 member associations.
Speaking to Happy FM, Kojo Yankah suggested to the football association to use part of the money to settle debts.
“I will encourage the leadership of the FA to use part of the money to pay all the stakeholders particularly, referees, match commissioners and others. They should make sure that all their debts are settled from this money”
“Besides, the FA should not ignore clubs in disbursing the money because the virus has affected all and not the FA only” he ended.
